CleanPower AS introduces the Turbinator^®

The CleanPower Turbinator is a new and innovative aggregate for mini hydropower plants, with turbine and generator integrated in a compact unit.

This solution is feasible due to the use of permanent magnets in the generator. So called Super magnets (Neodymium) are fitted on the runner wheel, which is placed inside the generator. The water flow is led through the generator, pulling the runner wheel so that electricity is induced in the stator part of the generator.

The major features of the Turbinator are:

• Simple and robust construction

• Compact, well suited for installation in cramped locations

• Can be unprotected against wind and rain, as the generator is sealed, and cooled by the water flow

• Good efficiency

The Turbinator comes in different models which will be configured to fit each given location (head / water flow) within the following range:

• Head: 10 - 60 meters

• Flow: 0,5 - 5 m³/sec

The design features of the Turbinator makes it particularly suitable for producing electricity from environmental flow / reserved flows.

Improved exploitation of environmental flows / reserved flows from existing hydropower installations can become a significant contributor to increased production of 100% renewable hydropower energy without the need for new civil works installations.
